BERG · Trampolines Ireland
BERG rates this rebounder for ages 14+, and it should be used with supervision. That applies when considering it for a post-primary school, SEN unit, special school or adult disability service. A school setting does not override the manufacturer’s age rating, and this model should not be chosen for younger pupils. Age alone also does not establish suitability: consider the individual’s understanding, movement, preferences and support needs. Where the model is not appropriate, do not try to make it suitable by relying on a handlebar or additional encouragement.
Some organisations consider rebounders as one possible supervised movement activity. The decision should be based on the person and the setting, not on claims that bouncing produces a particular educational, sensory or health outcome. No such outcome is promised here. Give the person a meaningful choice about participation and allow them to stop. Familiarisation may be more appropriate than an exercise sequence at first. If an activity forms part of an individual support plan, involve the relevant professionals rather than treating a product description as a recommendation for that individual.
Trampolines Ireland co-founded Bounce for Autism with BERG and the Irish Society for Autism, with trampolines donated to 50+ special schools. That connection is part of our work with Irish organisations, not evidence that this particular adult rebounder is appropriate for every school or student. It does not change the BERG age rating or replace an individual assessment. When enquiring, tell us about your organisation and the equipment questions you need answered. Keep the decision about a particular person’s participation separate from the history of the wider initiative.
The BERG Fitness Trampoline 110 is intended for indoor use and has no safety net. Its round frame is 110 cm in diameter and its total height on legs is 30 cm. Plan beyond those measurements: consider the approach, step on and off, overhead space and the supervisor’s position. Keep the activity away from busy routes and avoid creating a queue in the movement area. Staff need a shared understanding of how the activity starts and ends, including how to respond if someone becomes uncomfortable or wants to leave.
The handlebar version provides a point of contact for support and balance. That may be worth exploring for an individual who prefers it, but the bar does not replace supervision or guarantee safety. Check the manufacturer’s instructions rather than assuming the bar can support transfers or any particular force. The maximum user weight is 120 kg; the separate maximum test weight is not a permission to exceed that limit. Discuss any unanswered product questions before buying, especially where staff are planning assistance or adapting an activity to a person’s needs.

Foldable legs can help a shared room return to another use, but first check where the equipment will be stored. No folded dimensions or product weight are stated here. Staff should follow the manufacturer’s setup, inspection and cleaning instructions and know how to report a problem. A simple handover should identify who is supervising, what assistance is agreed and whether any concern arose in the previous session. Avoid assuming that an activity used successfully by one person can be offered unchanged to the next person, even within the same group.
Include your school or service name, county, quantity and whether you are considering the standard rebounder or stability bar version. Outline practical questions about the space and storage, rather than sharing sensitive personal information about pupils or service users. Ask for commercial or public-use warranty terms before placing an order. If purchasing requires internal approval, request the information your organisation needs early, and confirm stock before building a timetable around delivery. The enquiry form below provides a starting point for equipment discussions, while your organisation remains responsible for suitability and supervision decisions.
